SENSE CREATOR
CAMIS is a sensory device that combines aroma diffusion with ambient projection to create restorative moments within everyday spaces. Responding to increasingly connected and overstimulating lifestyles, the project explores how light, scent and subtle interaction can help users slow down and regain a sense of calm. Rather than treating relaxation as a separate activity, CAMIS brings it naturally into the atmosphere of the home.

Scent, Light, and Atmosphere
At the core of CAMIS is the integration of scent and projected light into one seamless experience. The aroma capsule, airflow system, projection module and interface are carefully arranged within a compact body, allowing the technology to remain visually quiet while shaping the surrounding atmosphere.
Forming a Gentle Ritual
Interchangeable aroma capsules allow users to shift between different moods, while the integrated projector casts soft, flowing visuals into the surrounding space. Curated scenes pair fragrance with imagery to create coordinated sensory atmospheres, while a minimal touch interface keeps interaction quiet and immediate. Inspired by the snail, the continuous organic form gives the device a soft, familiar presence and supports the sense of a slow, intuitive ritual.
Designing for Presence
The final design transforms scent and projected light into a unified spatial experience, creating moments of pause without demanding attention. CAMIS explores how technology can become more ambient, emotional and quietly integrated into everyday life, shaping the atmosphere of a space rather than becoming its focal point. The project was presented during Milan Design Week 2025 as part of NOI Creative’s FLOW exhibition.
