HARMOCORE
ROBOTIC HARMONIC ACTUATOR

HARMOCORE is a family of lightweight harmonic actuators developed with TC Drive for next-generation robotic systems. Although actuators determine the strength, accuracy and quality of robotic movement, their value is often hidden behind technical specifications and internal engineering. The project aimed to transform an advanced mechanical component into a coherent, recognisable and market-ready product family.

Building a Unified Product Language
The design needed to respect strict mechanical, mounting and integration requirements while creating a consistent identity across multiple actuator sizes. The industrial design and CMF were refined to improve perceived quality, clarify functional areas and establish a unified visual language across the series.

Making Performance Visible
Starting at approximately 500 grams, the actuators deliver up to 800 Nm of torque with 60-arcsecond precision. Integrated components, flexible mounting options and high-speed communication support a wide range of robotic applications. A coordinated visual system and two launch films translated these capabilities into a clear product story through sectional animation and concise technical callouts.

From Component to Platform
The final system positions HARMOCORE beyond a collection of individual components, establishing a scalable and recognisable platform for precise robotic motion. Developed through the collaboration between NOI Creative and TC Drive, the project brings engineering performance, product identity and visual communication into a single coherent system, designed to scale across different actuator sizes and robotic applications. HARMOCORE was presented at CIIF Shanghai 2025.
