HEXAGUN MINI
EMS & MASSAGE GUN

HEXAGUN MINI is a compact wellness device that combines deep-muscle percussion massage with heated EMS skincare. Designed for increasingly mobile lifestyles, it brings two traditionally separate recovery routines into a single pocket-sized product. The project explores how personal wellness can shift naturally between physical recovery and gentle everyday care without requiring multiple devices or accessories.

Unifying Two Wellness Rituals
Integrating a high-torque massage mechanism, EMS technology and heating within an extremely compact body required a careful balance of power, contact and control. Although each function has distinct technical and ergonomic requirements, the design brings them together through a consistent interaction logic, avoiding adapters, complex settings or unnecessary steps between modes.

Designing Through Transformation
A single physical action shifts the product between its two functions. With the cap attached, HEXAGUN MINI becomes a heated EMS skincare device; once removed, it transforms into a precise percussion massager for targeted muscle recovery. This transition is expressed directly through the product architecture: a soft-touch matte body creates a comfortable grip, while the metallic ring defines the point of transformation and introduces a more precise technical detail.

Bridging Recovery and Care
The final concept brings performance recovery and personal care into one coherent product experience. Rather than treating the two functions as separate features, the industrial design uses transformation, proportion and material contrast to create a clear relationship between strength and softness. The project received the 2026 Red Dot Award: Design Concept.
